Marketplace role and liability
Rydz is a car rental marketplace operated by Codetoli. We connect customers with local car vendors and operators across India — we do not own, hire out or operate the vehicles ourselves.
Your rental agreement is with the local vendor who supplies the car, not with Rydz. As a marketplace and not the rental operator, Rydz and Codetoli hold no liability for the condition, roadworthiness, quality or legality of the vehicles vendors supply, nor for the acts, omissions or conduct of vendors or customers on either side of a booking. Any claim arising from a rental belongs to the parties to that rental contract.
The basics
Eligibility
For self drive rentals you must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid driving licence for 12 months or more. For with-driver rentals, only identity proof is required.
Security deposit
A refundable deposit is held on your card at pick-up and released after the vehicle passes its return inspection, usually within 3 to 5 working days.
Cancellation
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pick-up. Later cancellations may be charged one day of the daily rate.
Fuel
Fuel is not included in the daily rate. Vehicles are handed over with a full tank and should be returned at the same level.
Kilometre limit
Daily rentals include the km allowance shown on the car page. Unlimited-km options and outstation per-km rates are confirmed before booking.
Damage and fines
The renter is responsible for traffic fines raised during the rental period. Damage beyond fair wear is charged after an inspection with photographs shared on WhatsApp.
Breakdown support
Roadside assistance is available 24x7. If the car cannot be repaired, a replacement vehicle is provided.
